Where can I check the status of my payments made through CardUp?
You can view the status of your payments on the CardUp dashboard. The payment status will be displayed in the first column of your dashboard.
Additionally, you can hover over the payment status to see a tooltip that explains the definition of that particular status.
What are the different payment statuses that appear on my CardUp dashboard?
Here's the full list of payment statuses and their definitions:
Upcoming
- Pending or Paused: This is a normal status where our team requires a manual review to ensure your payment is in good order. We may need to verify additional details, and if so, we'll reach out to you via email. In most cases, the payment review will be conducted on or 1-2 business days prior to the scheduled charge date.
- Scheduled For Charge: Your payment has been approved, and it will be charged to your selected card shortly, on or around the scheduled charge date.
Payments on the Way
- Payment Charged: Your payment has been successfully charged to your credit card, and the funds are now being processed to be sent to the recipient on the indicated 'Payment due date'.
- Sending payment: Your payment is currently in the process of being delivered to the recipient and will reach them on the indicated 'Payment due date'.
Recipient Paid
- Payment Sent: Your payment has been successfully disbursed to the recipient's bank account, and the transaction has been completed.
Failed
- Payment Failed: If your card is unable to be charged, the payment status will be marked as 'Payment Failed'. We'll send you an email to inform you of the unsuccessful charge and provide guidance on the next steps. In most cases, the failure is due to insufficient funds, so please ensure you have sufficient funds available in your account. For security reasons, if a payment fails more than 3 times, it will no longer be able to be charged, and you'll need to set up a new payment.
Cancelled
- Payment Cancelled: Your payment has been cancelled, and your card will not be charged.
Refunds
- Payment Refunding: Your payment refund has been initiated and is being processed.
- Payment Refunded: Your payment has been successfully refunded, and the amount will be returned to your card within the next 10 working days.
